After another deep freeze last week and this, the gulf stream has shifted northward allowing warmer weather to invade the area. Temperatures today are rising above zero and predicted to last for the next week. YEA! I snuck away from school after a few parent teacher interviews (had to go back from 5:30 -8:00 for more interviews) and took some shots of the snow drifts in the yard which likely won't be the same after a few days melt.

Caught the sunrise in a patch of clear sky -the rest of the sky is cloudy -expecting drizzle all day......really looking forward to the weekend...it has been a very exhausting week at school...way too much going on.....need rest......

You get such an amazing amount of snow! It looks so pretty but I bet you get fed up with it after a while?!Lovely pictures
Goosey...we typically do get alot of snow...last year was almost record breaking ..something like 432 cm of snow fell...but the length of the winter was just dreadful....I believe it was 145 days without bare ground...was I sick of winter???...yes....not as much snow this winter but our first snowfall that stayed was in Oct......am I sick of the cold???...YES...but it is now March and a lot of it is going to melt over the next few days...however, we had 2 out of the 3 largest snowstorms last year in March!! I remember about 10 years ago we had several centimeters of snow on Mother's Day!!! I can't wait to leave the snow and ice behind next week...for a week anyway....looking forward to 80 degree F temperatures in Florida!
